The Converge2EU team presented its data and findings to officials at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG ENEST), in a constructive exchange between researchers and policymakers.
The presentation focused on the initiative’s evidence-based analysis of how Western Balkan countries are converging with average EU living standards. Organizers said the discussion underscored the importance of high-quality research and open dialogue between experts and EU institutions for shaping effective, forward-looking enlargement policy.
The Converge2EU team thanked DG ENEST for the exchange, framing it as part of a broader effort to strengthen evidence-based, data-driven policymaking across Europe.
